Solvent & Hydrocarbon Cleaning

Solvent and hydrocarbon cleaning provides strong degreasing and vacuum drying for blind holes, with sealed and explosion-proof safety.

Overview

Where solvent is chosen

Solvent excels at oil and at drying.

Hydrocarbon and modified-alcohol solvents dissolve oil well and dry without water marks. In a sealed vacuum system, solvent penetrates blind holes and stacked parts, then vacuum drying removes vapour from those cavities. Solvent recovery by distillation keeps consumption and emissions low.

Flammable media require sealed or explosion-proof equipment, as on the vacuum ultrasonic cleaner or explosion-proof cleaner. The route is compared with water-based cleaning.

Process Considerations

Solvent decisions

Safety and recovery are central.
