Metal parts after rust and oxide removal

LENJEX Solution Center

Rust & Oxidation Removal

Ultrasonic cleaning removes rust, scale and oxide films using controlled chemistry and cavitation, then rinses and protects the surface.

Overview

Rust and oxide treatment

Oxide removal combines chemistry with mechanical energy.

Rust, heat-treat scale and oxide films are chemical and sometimes tightly bonded to the surface. Ultrasonic cavitation assists an acidic or purpose-specific cleaning solution in lifting oxide from recessed and complex parts without the inconsistency of manual acid dipping.

Because acid can affect metals, concentration, temperature, time and material are carefully controlled, followed by thorough rinsing and, where required, passivation or surface treatment.

Process Considerations

Rust-removal decisions

Material and oxide determine the process.
